Add Source Values on the Fly

Source field helps you to keep track of where the data was gathered from. For example source can be purchased list, cold call etc. You can also create filters using source field to find accounts and contacts record for a particular source.

Follow the steps below to add a new Source During Import

  1. On home screen click on Import under settings to go to import page.
  2. To add a new source for CSV or Excel import click on the source drop down list.
  3. Scroll down and select  —Add a new source— from the list .
  4. Type in the new source and click on save.

The new source will be added to the main source drop down list

Add a new source from Accounts, Contacts and Opportunities Form

You can add a new source when adding a new Account, Contact or opportunities record. The steps will be same for adding a new source from Accounts, Contacts and Opportunities Forms.

  1. On homepage click on Accounts under Sales Module.
  2. Click on Add to create a new Account.
  3. On the Account form click on Source drop down list and scroll to the bottom on the list.
  4. Select —Add a new source— from the list and type in the new source.
  5. Fill in other information on the form and click on Save.

Add a new Source when Creating a Web Form

  1. On home screen click on Web Forms under Marketing.
  2. To add a new source when creating a Web Form click on the source drop down list.
  3. Scroll down and select  —Add a new source— from the list .
  4. Type in the new source and click on save.

The new source will be added to the main source drop down list
