Create a new Broadcast Campaign

A Broadcast Campaign is a one time email blast to a selection of Accounts. Using these you can convey special messages such as offers, promotions, events, etc. to a targeted audience.

Click on Broadcast Campaign under Marketing from the Home screen to open the Broadcast Campaign page.

Follow the steps below to create a new Broadcast Campaign:

  1. Click the to open a new Broadcast Campaign page.

  • Category: These are the template categories in the CRM. You can select from Auto Response, Marketing templates, Greetings and Newsletters.
  • Template: You can select templates from the template library or from templates you created earlier.
  • Next, click on Select to open the Create Broadcast campaign page.
  • Click on Cancel to cancel the campaign.

2. Name: Type in a name for the Broadcast Campaign.

3. Select the Group(s), Contact Filter or Account Filter to target your campaigns to.

a. Group: The Campaign will be sent to all members of the selected groups.

Note: You can add up to 3 groups at a time.

  • Click on the group radio button then select a group from the drop-down list.
  • Click on to check the list of accounts and contacts within that group in list view format.
  • Or  you can click on  sign adjacent to the groups field to add a new group.
      • Type in a Group name then click on Save to save the new group you created.

b. Contact Filter: Select this to contact a dynamic list of contacts.

  • Click on Contact filter radio button then select an option from the drop-down list.
  • You can edit the filter you have chosen by clicking on the pencil icon adjacent to the field.

Note: The “Edit”  icon for a filter is available in the running state as well so then you can easily access and view the filter, although you wont be able to edit the filter in a running state

  • Or select Add a new Filter from the drop-down list.
  • Click on to check the list of leads and contacts within that group in list view format.

c. Account Filter: Select this to target a dynamic list of Accounts. The campaign will be sent to all linked Contacts of the Accounts associated with this list.

  • Click on the Account filter radio button then select an option from the drop-down list.
  • You can edit the filter you have chosen by clicking on the   adjacent to the field.

Note: The Edit  icon for a filter is available in the running state as well so then you can easily access and view the filter, although you wont be able to edit the filter in a running state

  • Or select Add a new Filter from the drop-down list.
  • Click on to check the list of leads and contacts within that group in list view format.

4. From Name: Your login name will be populated in this field by default. You can change it to something else if you want to.

5. From Email: Your email address will be populated in this field by default. You can select a different email address from the drop-down list if you want to.

6. Subject: The subject field will be updated according to the selected Template. You can type in a different subject if you want to change it.

7. Personalize: Select an option from the personalize drop-down list such as Company, Name etc, to add to the subject field to make the Template more personalized.

8. Below the Subject line there is the design section where the email template shows up. This section allows you to edit the text, add pictures and more. You can also change the template from this section.

9. Click on Save to Create the new Broadcast campaign.

10 . Once you have saved the marketing campaign 6 new buttons appear

  • Save: Click on save to save any changes.
  • Schedule: Click to schedule a date and time to execute the campaign.
    • Select a date and time then click on Ok

  • Execute now: This will execute the campaign right away.
  • Copy: This will allow you to create a similar campaign without having to make much changes.
  • Test: Test will allow you to send the campaign to your email account before sending it out to your customers.
  • Rules:Campaign rules will help you to setup a process to automate and simplify your email campaigns and keep a track of all the important steps.
  • Results: Results will help you to track the performance of your campaign.

Once your campaign fires you will be able to track its performance via Results button as stated above in addition to the reporting functionality in the CRM. The Notes for a particular contact will also be updated to show the Broadcast Campaigns sent to them previously as per the example below:
